i need help. !!!

Find the equation of the locus of a point that moves so that it is equidistant from the line 3x+4y-5=0
and the line 5x+12y-1=0

how do i start my own thread? i just registered today.

3x+4y-5=0
5x+12y-1=0

let P(x,y) be a point on the locus

D=|3x+4y-5|/root(25)

D=|5x+12y-1|/root(169)

13|3x+4y-5| = 5|5x+12y-1|

13(3x+4y-5)=5(5x+12y-1) or -13(3x+4y-5) = 5(5x+12y-1)

14x-8y-60=0 or 94x+112-70=0

you made a mistake with this part >> -13(3x+4y-5) = 5(5x+12y-1)
but i fixed it up and got the right answer
overall i got on the right track, thanks :D
