Of course - there is not one estimate I don't make that isn't serious.

It's hard to make an estimate right about now, so many factors can come into play.

This I reckon (assuming your school rank is around 220). It could be a fair bit higher or lower as you have quite a few firsts. English is weighing you down though and economics probably wont count.

assuming my ranks stay the same, but i took my hsc last year, what would my hypothetical results be?

Also, would you reccomend dropping to Standard? the gap between me and the top 10 is hugeee

No. At all costs, DON'T drop to standard.

This pretty much - you are far better off working on advanced then dropping to standard. You will be shooting yourself in the foot by dropping.

Ahhh, I was on tapatalk so I couldn't see it, and it's usually better, so let's hope it's better this year for OP's sake.

THIS!
I dropped to standard and it was the worst choice ever, the teachers were a fuck-around and the bigger cohort made gaps between top and bottom less distinguished, plus it doesn't align or scale well.
Plus, I topped my school externally and only got 86; only ~55 people get a band 6 out of the ~30,000 doing the course.
DON'T DO IT!
Also, I came fifth at my school, and the 4 people that beat me did Advanced - Only two of us got above 90 - and we were equal top externally - and the guy that came first internally got 89.55, but apart from that EVERYONE, even those in the top 5/10, did SHIT. The cohort is generally shitter so you get scaled to all hell, and yeah... "just don't do it... you promise? Okay, now everybody take some rubbers."

Also, OP I think your school rank for 2011 would actually be closer to 150 than 220 because the better education ranking system was only based off English and Maths for 2011, which isn't right and places some schools, that are in the top 100 otherwise, ~250. So yeah... you're probs looking at anywhere from 93 to 98.
