Hi.
My school uses Cambridge Mathematics 4 Unit by Denise Arnold and Graham Arnold along with Advanced Mathematics by Terry Lee. Is it worthwhile to buy more textbooks, such as New Senior Mathematics Four Unit Course for Year 12 by JB Fitzpatrick, Foundations of 4 Unit Mathematics by SK Patel and Revised 4 Unit Maths Course for Mathematics Extension 2 by Jim Coroneos? If it is, which one should I buy?
Thank you.

It depends on your ability. I suggest getting the Revised 4 Unit Maths by Jim Coroneos as well as the Supplement 4 Unit Maths by Jim Coroneos. The Revised one is a small A5 book that is quite skimp on Volumes, Conics and Mechanics. However, he makes up for this by having a beastly supplement containing all those topics. In my opinion, the Coroneos books are the best available in NSW, as old as they may appear to be.

Foundations of 4 Unit Mathematics by SK Patel is also quite a good book, so I would suggest getting that one too if you have some spare cash.

Thanks for the feedback.
So New Senior Mathematics Four Unit Course by JB Fitzpatrick is useless? Also, what's the difference between Revised 4 Unit Maths Course and Supplement 4 Unit Maths both by Jim Coroneos?

Revised: Covers everything, but poorly covers Conics, Mechanics and Volumes.

Supplement: Covers Conics, Mechanics and Volumes more than you will ever need.

Does Supplement 4 Unit Maths cover everything, such as Graphs, Complex Numbers and Polynomials?

It has some elements of Complex Numbers such as Roots of Unity (the majority of it is already in the main book), but Polynomials and Graphs is not in it.

Is the New Senior Mathematics Four Unit Course by JB Fitzpatrick any good? My teacher keeps telling the class to go and buy it.

Unlike its 3U counterpart in my opinion the 4U book is horrible, the questions are horrible, the excercises are just tedious and boring. Barely anything original. For 3U though I recommend it.

The "Revised" 4 Unit Maths Coroneous book is basically the book for the old Level 1 course with the irrelevant topics removed (such as matrices, eigenvalues, etc). The supplement was published in 1982, which was when the 4 unit course was revised to include circular motion, conic sections and additional topics to Complex Number (e.g. DeMovire's Theorem and roots of unity).

I think in 1990 (or 1985...) Graphs and Harder 3U was added but the circles part of conic sections was taken out. Coroneous never published a supplement for the 1990 changes.
