Any good starter jobs with decent pay? (1 Viewer)

Are there any good jobs to start with which has maybe $15+ / hr pay?
i have no work experience whatsoever. Suggestions please !
I already got maccas on the list so what else?

mate, its pretty hard to find a job in maccas, kfc coles etc. So if you get accepted you should be happy regardless of pay which should be around $10-15/hr anyways

If you can get into contact with the marketing companies that set people up in shopping centres to distribute fliers etc, then you could make $23/ hr as an 18 y.o
Also labouring jobs probably range from $22-$30/hr if you're willing and have your OHS white card.

What are your school marks like and are you good at communicating ideas and concepts and stuff? If so- tutoring is a good option imo

Have you checked the classifieds? I haven't seen any less than $22. I have one lined up, due to start after new years and I'm up for $26

How old are you OP? Minimum wage rates depend on age a lot of the time. During high school, a lot of people go the hospitality route, or retail which only pay absolute minimum, whereas more skilled jobs tend to pay more.

Still man I highly doubt it.. my brother is a carpenter and he said there is no point maximum $15 an hour, all my mates who are doing labouring are getting max $17..

I've definitely heard of people getting ~$20/h for labouring, but apparently it's hard work.

eh okay, i would rather work in an air-conditioned retail shop or something similar earning slightly less, the work would be much less strain on your body as well. Bricklaying would be pretty tough compared to say retail, plus it doesn't help if you're not hands on like me :L I'm more analytical.

Yeah same here, i can't imagine myself being any good in a labouring job. It gets really hot at my current job and pay is fairly low though, plus i dont work many hours a week - i need to find a new job!

It's a bakery, but not the kind that make bread. They make pies and stuff like that.

well that's fair enough, I suppose it isn't for everyone. I'm very analytical also ( doing undergrad speech path and then grad med - hopefully ) but my dad's a truck driver and my family own a cleaning business, so I guess I've sort of grown up working and am used to it lol. It's just to get some money before uni to get a car, laptop etc.
Plus my girlfriend is going overseas for a month :'( So I need a distraction haha
