i thought i would've done worse in chem and that i'd get a high band 4 or something. literally thought i got <50% raw in the external. ended up getting 84 :/

not sure about physics, but i'm sad panda about bio thought i did well

I kind of expected an 88 in physics but ended up with 84. There were some challenging questions but I thought the rest of it followed the syllabus in a straight -forward fashion.

I was amazed at my chemistry mark- it was my most hated subject out of 12 units. Biology was one of my favourite and I got 83/83/83.

However for chemistry I got 82/80 and an overall HSC mark of 81.

Now my biology won't count and I'm hoping the scaling for chemistry this year will be huge!

Weird.

chem's probs the highest 2 unit scaling subject there is.
an 80 in chem scales your atar up to 88

l think they had a low band 5 cut off point, and a huge band 6 cut off point which left the state at like 40% band 5 and 3% band 6 for chem and phys

Definitely this year, marks are too low for it not to be high scaling, everyone seems like they expected higher.
