There are no vacancies, so there is no chance. Even if someone decides to decline their Main Round offer, the cutoff would be way above 96.3 because of the limited supply.

It it was then yes but 0.3 is 6 sets of ranks because each rank is defined as 0.05 increments

I missed out by .4, I'm enrolling in arts and using my electives to pick commerce classes so I can then hopefully transfer and use the credits.

Yeah, that's the contingency plan in these sorts of situations.

For high demand courses, like Commerce, cut-offs go up.

You probably won't get an offer being below the cut off.

Last year my friend was above the cut off, but she did her preferences in the wrong order and did not receive an offer in later rounds despite changing her preferences.

wait a sec. If my atar was 94.8 and i have 5 bonus points from the band 5/band6 stuff --> 99.8? Do i have a chance of making it into combined commerce which has 96.3 cut-off? I fkd up my prefs :(

Cut-off next round is most likely to be 99.95 with bonus points, unfortunately.

Again, very slim chance. Last year the late round cut off for commerce was 99.95

You could get an offer but if those USYD kids change their preference to UNSW for shits and giggles then probably not. I know of a person that changed their preference to USYD for fun - doesn't go down in my books.

Yeah for sure, it's a bit of a dick move for a course with high demand though.

Tbh i'm guilty of doing it myself last year (with Engineering at Usyd though). I'd accepted an early offer for UTS and didn't change my preferences for main round so my mum was a little dissapointed my name wasn't in the paper for uni offers haha, so i got rid off UTS for late round. If i had gotten my first or second preference (UNSW) i may have considered taking it though so it wasn't JUST for the sake of getting another offer.
