I have COFA1001 right before the COMP1917 lecture, which would be fine aside from the fact that they're hosted on different campuses. The lecture is only an hour long though (out of 4 a week). Would it be fine to just skip them (every week)? How long does it take for the shuttle bus to move between campuses? Does COMP1917 offer online lectures? Thanks.

I must say, COMP1917 has incredibly ridiculous lecture times.

Which lectures are you in? Some labs I think go to 10 PM

I don't think you should skip unless something urgent pops up

Well there's only one choice of lectures for COMP1917, and the times are monday: 5pm-6pm, wednesday: 11am-12pm, 4pm-6pm (dafuq).

And as for my other COFA1001 studio choices, well...they're extremely limited...and their times are all 6pm-9pm !@#F!#@!@#%. Fkn thanks to myUNSW not letting me enrol online.

Richard Buckland is cool and all, but I value not having a random solitary class at 6-9pm on a thursday night more. :)

Stalkers.

Anyway onedaysnotice, apparently you can change times during the first week if people change/swap subjects

I think ZhiYing did, oh there he is now.

What class would be more suited for Mechatronics Engineering out of ENGG1811 COMP1911, or COMP1917? Like would I be able to keep up in COMP1917 with no prior computing/programming experience?

Probably COMP1911. You may find it hard to keep up if you don't have the aptitude for programming, if you do 1917.

It's not every day you get an engaging and overall star lecturer.

For every other lecture, skip.

Haha skipping one lecture a week is very fine.
Some people might be crazy about going to every lecture, but after the first week just watch as your lectures lose half their people XD
