So how long does it take for a couple to realise reality instead of being infatuated with one another?
Any other checkpoints in a relationship can be discussed too.

Lasted about 1.5-2 months in the last relationship i was in. We broke up a couple weeks after that as it probably wasn't going to work long distance which is what it was soon going to have to be.

I can't even tell if we're in it right now, or if we're past it, or if we never had it.

K. Was just saying that's how long the "honeymoon period" lasted in that relationship and once that was over it didn't take long until we broke up.

Nope.

You had to have had patches of shit in there.

Honeymoon is blue skies entire time.

No probs evah.

i just dont understand how people our age manage to go more than a year without becoming entirely bored with one another and keep going out

Eventually though the infatuation largely wears off - if you want something long term, you need more than just that spark, you need to have a deeper sense of connection (which I think is very difficult to find).
