Hey, I just had a Math exam and I got efed up

If you know a particle is in SMH, Is it's center of origin when t=0?


if it helps the equation was 2cos(t+pi/4)

centre is centre - regardless of time t. With your given eqn, centre is origin - but when t=0, x = 2cos{pi/4} = 2/sqrt(2) and not 0.

Nope, t=0 gives its initial position.

The particle does not necessarily have to start at the centre of origin.

To find the centre of origin, you can let acceleration be 0 since that is when maximum speed occurs.
