Hello
I really want to do arts/economics combined degree at unsw which takes 4 years. I love languages and business. I was wondering if its possible to do 2 eco majors in this degree. When I rang the unsw they said 'yeah if you use your electives' or something but I don't really get it and was wondering if anyone can provide any insight into if its possible/they know someone doing it. And what are the best eco majors? I was thinking economics and financial economics
Thanks xD

If you didn't get what UNSW said, why didn't you clarify it with them then? They said it was possible, so the rest can be figured out when you start uni; it's not very important now.

Anyway, electives are courses which you can freely chose.

You must complete at least 192 Units of Credit (UOC) to be awarded the BEc/BA. A major in Economics and a major in Financial Economics is a total of 120 UOC, but 30 UOC overlap, so that is a total of 90 UOC. The Arts component is 96 UOC.

Normally, for a single major, you will have 12 UOC of Free Electives (i.e. they can come from most courses/subjects in the uni). So the above totals of 186 UOC, which means you will use 6 UOC from your Free Electives to complete your second major, leaving 6 UOC for any other course.

So yes, it is possible.
