So, the Australian National Chemistry Quiz is held this Thursday. Is anyone practising for this? Is there any point to practice? Also, do you have tips or tricks for getting a good mark for this?

Practice is optional. It's up to you if you want to try maximize your mark.

Know your prelim & HSC concepts. Some questions involving prelim concepts will pop up like finding empirical formulas from masses of elements in a compound.

I realised i have the years 11 1993, 1995, 1997, 1998 and 2003 Australian National Chemistry Quizzes and also the 2012 year 12 edition lol.

If you want, i'll take photos of the 2012 year 12 one.

TBH its not hard. Just know your concepts & how to do calculations and you'll do well.

I just did the 2012 past paper and I got 21 out of 30. LOL. What would I approximately get? Would I manage to get a Distinction?

I also managed to get the 2008 past paper today and I got 23 out of 30.

2008 seemed much easier than 2012 for some reason. I was basically staring at half of the 2012 questions for 10 minutes each.

Came 15 minutes late to the exam, fuck yeah. Still finished a minute early though. Ended up guessing 3 of the questions (discounting 1 or 2 of the answers though)
I got a HD and D in Year 10/11, hopefully one of those this year.
-no preparation, trials too OP.
