On calculator, for MX1 and MX2, is it radian or degree mode?

I prefer degrees. There's usually no need for radian mode...

I go for degrees also. It's easier for me to put in degrees rather than the damn pi's.

Seriously never use it, get into the habit of radians.

Especially for MX1 and MX2 you will rarely be using a calculator to compute trigonometric ratios because you should know the common exact ratios already
Radians are ultimately superior they give you greater versatility and speed especially when dealing with trigonometric functions such as in simple harmonic motion

Anything to do with trigonometric functions that require you to calculate something not involving exact ratios

i.e. The tidal SHM motion questions.

In hindsight do retract my previous statement, whatever the question uses, use that in calculations, (i.e. if the question is using degrees then I guess it would be better to use degrees for that calculation).

Degrees - if you lend a younger student your calculator they can become confused as why sin 30 suddenly gives an off answer.

Well I bring spares to exams for people who don't have one. Believe me there is still alot of people that don't bring their calculators for exams. Especially those Year 7s.

i used to it in degrees, but I now use radians. it eliminates any chances of error if you use degrees (you think you may have converted it correctly in your head but it is actually is wrong)

also yes you use radians for the tidal SHM questions to calculate time
