Littlehelp?

Solve for -180≤θ≤180, round you answers to the nearest degree?

√3 tan3θ + 1 = 0

thx man but was that meant to say -540≤θ≤540?

Bumping this since i need help with another question related to: Tangents and Normals

If the slopes of the tangents to the curve y= ax^2 + bx + c are 4 and -14 at the points (1,5) and (-2,20) respectively, find a, b and c.

Thanks :)

Dunno if I'm right but it should be this, excuse my crappy handwriting ==' View attachment 28562
ye I checked, that's right man thx appreciate it :). I have my yearlies coming up so i might ask a lot of questions...

The gradient of the normal to the curve y= a/x + b at the point (3,-5) is 3. Calculate the values of a and b.

I was wondering if this is how you do it...:

y=a/-3 + b = -5

Differentiate y=a/x+b?
ax^-1?

I think i did it wrong...littlehelp?

that's right
just use d/dx x^n = n x^(n-1) , with n=-1( which you've already shown)
