what raw mark should i be aiming for in hsc exam if i want a 90-92 in 4u

Get MC, first 4 questions all or near all correct. Pick up a couple of marks in the next 2 sections.

I find it so annoying that the first 3 questions are so easy, and then it drops straight into really hard questions.

Well if you can get 8/10 for MCQ then 50/60 for next 4 questions, then 10/30 for the last two questions you would be looking at around 90 - 91

I think that due to the nature of the new test structure (which is considerably shorter than the older one) , you may need higher marks like maybe a 75% than before to receive the band 6.

By the way, if you receive band 6, it shows up as 90+ on your HSC right?

Fair enough. It changes every year so I am guessing your range is pretty accurate.
