9 something a hour lol
It'd be more than that... My trainee wage when I was 16 (and this was in 2011) was $9.48/hr or something. The full wage was more like $10.50 if I remember right. I don't live in NSW, though, so it might be slightly different.

I have a question: does anyone know if you have to wait until a crew trainer position is advertised or can you just ask to put an application in whenever?

Put in anytime, I'm sure they always look for more,my store even though they advertise for some urgently(most just cant be bothered because of the bad shift times you have to go for sometimes),basically want more trainers 24/7.You would need at least 4-5 stars on your badge, I don't remember exactly. Might vary store to store on requirements depending how much they need more. But honestly there's always room for more crew trainers, cause you only get paid like 50 cents more and it helps when they have more times to choose to train a newbie.
I guess the point of the position is to accept more responsbility for your resume, and it shows pretty well.

Thanks! I think I'll ask one of the managers today. The only problem is that I can't guarantee that I'll be there for longer than another 4 months as I might be moving interstate for uni. But I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

Hey i'm 19 years old now. Do you guys think I'm bit too old to start working at Maccas? I mean would they prefer to choose someone younger than me so they can pay less and still get the job done? I have worked at Hungry Jack's before btw (4 months)

Nah, we have had heaps of trainees aged 18-19 recently. They do give more hours to younger people but if you can work during school times that's a plus. It's not like they won't hire you.
