Does the baord of study scale your subjects after or before getting your best ten units?

The Board of Studies does not scale your results, scaling is done by the UAC. Your 10 best units are determined off the marks after scaling rather than raw or aligned marks (UAC dont use the aligned marks).

So say you got 85 in a subject like chemistry, and 86 in a 'bad scaling' subject like senior science, but the scaled mark for chem was higher than for senior, it would be chem that would count towards your atar even though it had a lower raw mark? (assuming that the other 8 units were filled and one of these two subjects would be the last two units?
