It's better if it dies down to about 3000 people in Australia. CS 1.6 was best when only that much played. In the early days when there were more players, you would have nubs and hackers galore.

^ THIS, you can play counter strike well, and go into cod and still easily be good. But when people go from COD to Counterstrike they are shit because Counterstrike actually requires to use your senses(sound and vision is a lot more important).

Does anyone use screen recording software? If so what software did they find that they used to record without minimal FPS drops and decent quality?

Yep. That isn't the only thing. You need to understand all the weapons, their accuracy, their recoil accuracy and span, weapon mass, bullet damage and maximum velocity, etc.
Most people assume that you can use and mp5 and come out better than a person with a rifle. This happens in COD due to the crappy life system and the lack of the engines definitions per gun.

In CS, the source engine outshines other fps engines.

Already using fraps. But it has around 10-30 fps drop.
