Do markers keep a record/copy of the 15/15 or even 14/15 creative writing papers each year? If someone bought a state ranker's creative writing from a previous year, memorized it and then wrote this in the exam the marker would most certainly be able to compare it to previous years in order to ensure that the student is not plagiarizing, right? My tutor suggested that I use his creative writing piece and tweek it, but wouldn't i get caught for plagiarizing?

They might keep previous 15/15s from your school. Our school gave us a few full mark exemplars to look at in class.

My English teacher does HSC marking and based on what she said, some teachers apparently do tell other markers about the great responses they read. She told us about an exemplar creative about mujahideen freedom fighters which she hadn't personally marked but had been shown to her by another marker. While I doubt that if you'd be caught if you tweaked a response which received full marks, I think the risk is higher for someone who state ranked.

Also you really should just write your own creative, because if it doesn't fit the stimulus on the day of the exam, you'd be better off changing and adapting something you yourself wrote as opposed to someone else's creative.

I don't think so. Not without the student's permission at least since it's intellectual property lol.

iirc the slip you sign before each hsc exam gives BOS permission to do what they want with your responses lel
