I've been assessed as ineligible for EAS , despite being affected from a severe illness for 2 years (11 and 12) and with my doctor assessing my case as extreme. All my teachers told me to apply as they saw how it prevented me from attending school for large chunks throughout the years. Ive been away like 50-60 days in year 12 and 40 in year 11. My principal told me EAS was made for people in exactly your position. So i just don't understand how i was assessed as ineligible. What do you guys think? Possible to appeal?

If you've got sufficient evidence, such as medical reports and doctor certificate then definitely try to appeal it.

Lol.

Alright, thanks guys. I've appealed it by sending them an email.
Call them.. It's more efficient and your likely to get a quicker response. If your saying what they have said you might have not given the correct documents required for the disadvantage therefore was deemed not complete and thus illegible. Definetley appeal you will not regret it.

I did. The lady said she is in no state to discuss these issues due to privacy. She told me to email them. I emailed them 8 hours ago, no response.

I sent (for my EAS application) stacks of medical certificates for the last 2 years, specialist reports, attendance records. My Principal even wrote in the form clearly supporting my evidence. So i have sent all the evidence. I just don't understand what went wrong.

Appeal it, without a doubt. They must have made an error or something. Seriously.

According to your info you're about as disadvantaged as it gets. You have all the evidence submitted, so i see no reason why they didn't accept it. Seriously, I don't think they understand the shit a kid like you has been through. Just stay calm i guess and don't get angry lol.

As to the email you sent, call them again explaining you sent an unreplied email, and you really need quick responsive action. Like its only your future on the line, lol. But be quick as consideration for main round ends JAN 3.

Good luck with ur appeal
