Danng now I'm getting the pictures, thanks for the heads up.That car is actually the Furai. RIP.
The 787B is also awesome:
I think I posted up the 92CP with a glimpse of the 787B before. That car is actually the Furai. RIP.

There was only one Furai.I think I posted up the 92CP with a glimpse of the 787B before.
I don't think the Furai I posted above was the one top gear burnt though.
RIP.
EDIT: Are there any other 4 Rotor engines out there?
Oh I thought there were a few Furai's. Nm.There was only one Furai.
The only other 4 rotor car off the top off my head (factory prototypes, not DIY/tuner specials) is a prototype GM made of a mid engineed rotary corvette. Some guy ended up buying it (engine-less) and fitting a 13b.
Nope, the prototype had a GM rotary (many companies bought the rights to produce them but not many made production engines) and when the guy bought it he fitted it with a stock 13b.Oh I thought there were a few Furai's. Nm.
13b is dual rotary though. Did he fit two of them?
-----------
Rotary's may die soon though:

And Mazda has stopped production on the RX series.
So its either DIY or no more rotary in the future, unless there are people out there with low kms under the hood.
Interesting. There was talk of a 1.6l two rotor rx7 coming in a few years as well as a hybrid engine using a rotary.
EDIT: So they thought of the idea, but no-one actual made it.Nope, the prototype had a GM rotary (many companies bought the rights to produce them but not many made production engines) and when the guy bought it he fitted it with a stock 13b.
Well, that's prototypes. But they did make (atleast) one, they eventually ditched the rotary for a big v8 lol.EDIT: So they thought of the idea, but no-one actual made it.
Would you say that adding more rotor's would be more efficient than adding more pistons?
Typical Americans.Well, that's prototypes. But they did make (atleast) one, they eventually ditched the rotary for a big v8 lol.
As for adding more rotors and addming more pistons - it's more or less the same thing.
