My teacher directed us to Chapter 6 straight up. We didn't even look at Methods in Algebra which I think is mostly revision?

Well, basically 9000 represents 120% of the original price, so you just divide 9000 by 120 to get what 1% of the original price was, and times that by 100 to get the original price

I just did:
x*1.2 = 9000
x=9000/1.2
=$7500

Is that what you were looking for? If not I'm pretty bad with percentages too XD

Ummm is anyone else starting Maths Extension 1 work? Got my Cambridge 3U book today and we have done 2 exercises already lol

we have to get through like 4 chapters of "assumed knowledge"work before we can start the extension stuff and we have like 3 weeks to do it :/ im actually so scared about extension maths because ive had such a crappy teacher the past 3 years that even though i studied as best as i could, i literally failed my yearly exam last year

Don't worry! I did horrible in Maths in year nine it trust me if you work hard you'll do amazingly! We are always here to help you as well

Aw same here today I was yawning in this morning meeting we had and my year adviser was laughing at me , also ended yawning in 2u at the end of the day

aww aha. i nearly fell asleep in engineering studies which was just after recess...i didnt absorb anything at all. i walked out of class thinking wtf did we just do? >.>


also whats this Cambridge thing everyones talking about? is it a textbook?
