Confusion internationally regarding our name and geographic location. The recent creation of a new university in Wales named 'The University of South Wales' has compounded the confusion.

Following the change to the new University name of UNSW Australia earlier this year, two important Faculty name changes have recently been announced. ASB has now been renamed ‘UNSW Business School’ and COFA renamed ‘UNSW Art & Design’ (ahead of the official opening of the refurbished Paddington campus in September/October this year).

The rollout of these new names will occur in the upcoming months and all new collateral produced should utilise the new names.

All Faculty names should follow the same reference rules as UNSW Australia. Here are examples using the two new faculty names:

Internationally the first reference should be ‘UNSW Australia Business School’ and ‘UNSW Australia Art & Design’.

Domestically you can either use ‘UNSW Australia Business School’ and ‘UNSW Australia Art & Design’ or ‘UNSW Business School’ and ‘UNSW Art & Design’. Subsequent mentions can then be 'UNSW Business School' or 'Business School' and 'UNSW Art & Design' or 'Art & Design'.

If only the first settlers weren't so lazy in naming our state, then we would not have this issue.

I know. There has not been a moment were you are never serious on BoS.

But the whole thread was made for the troll reason of what people called "ASB" before. There was a previous thread to this that was deleted too.

I agree though, the fact that our state is names after the shape of a country very far away is just asking for problems.
