Are HSC economics exams becoming easier? (1 Viewer)

I swear in the previous years like 2004 and stuff I'm getting 14/20 in MC but in 2013 and 12 more like 17/20. Is it just me or are the exams becoming easier? Just want to confirm with others

the syllabus changed in 2009, maybe you didn't learn content that was in the 2004 papers??

This, also you would note that the questions seem to feel repetitive as well.

No, in fact they are getting more difficult.

Look at some of the 4/5 mark short answer questions in 2004 and compare them to 2013, you'll notice previously a lot was focused on basic content regurgitation (explain, describe etc). More recently a stronger emphasis on analysis based questions have been implemented so just memorising content won't get you a b6 like it did before. I'm focusing more on short answer/essay based questions and so multiple choice may have gotten easier, i'm not 100% sure.

agree with drifting. exams are getting harder. especially MC imo.

My teacher who is a HSC marker thinks the multiple choice are becoming significantly more difficult then previous years ( Trend wise)...
