NOMIF is for establishing the foundation of knowledge
sums it up
DeadLel, should be called the Enigma rage thread
NO
foundation of knowledge????????? rote learn?????????/ MIF only teaches you to rote learn formulae and use them. OP Maths in focus SUCKS, like REALLY badly!
I could give you 1000 reasons as to why it sucks, but ceebs.
I agree band 2 would be waiting for you IMO (slight exaggeration).
Nah but in all honesty:
it's got the crappiest questions
the explanations are bad
too much paper is wasted on the sides (hence it is teaching children to exploit the environment which is bad)
encourages rote learning in maffs (which is NOT what maffs is about!)
MIF decreases one's intelligence because you start to empathise with the author and think the way she thinks (which is quite illogical), then when you get exam questions you'll be like wtfff.
So yeah pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee don't use it, otherwise I have failed in my purpose of life!
What is maths in line now?Maths in line is not shit.
It is good for a general understanding ....,
(Suck it engima)
Get cambridge asap I reckon. Are u in yr 11? If so that should be fine.Shit..this means I am fucked...
MIF.. is the only book I have right now...
Could you guys recommend me another book..so I could practice on ?
Nope.. Doing the HSC this year....Get cambridge asap I reckon. Are u in yr 11? If so that should be fine.
Then legit try to do as many past papers as possible (including from nerd's sig). The topics you find hard, go over the exercises in cambridge. No point buying it.Nope.. Doing the HSC this year....
^ oh wow. I'm not even gonna start again.MIF = Most underrated textbook IF they got rid of the exercises and had questions on the same calibre as the challenge sections since this section has funky questions.
I don't understand the hate since all math textbooks aren't perfect.
