Just wanted to congratulate you on your perfect set of ranks (phys is st00pid anyways) You must have worked damn hard all year, definitely keep it up for externals as others have already pointed out, you've done really well because now your atar is predominantly dependent on external performance!

My ranks:
School rank– 1st (haha this kinda gives it away... lol)
English Advanced- 1st
Maths Extension 1- 1st
Maths Extension 2- 1st
Chemistry- 1st
Economics- 1st
Physics- 2nd

get lost. HPF. besides, can you explain this then, if you're virtually first in everything:

Physics 87.5/99
Chem 81/98 but then the average was like 71 so #yolo)
Maths (3u) 60% (i cri everitiem)

Phys - 2/16 , beaten by 1% but the guy who beat me only has 2 subjects lol (accelerated 3 last year)

I disagree. It's not 98.5 - 99. It's 95 - 99.95. With a school rank that low, and you essentially first in all your subjects, your HSC is entirely dependent on your external performance. Good luck1

School rank was late 400s in 2013, late 200s in 2012. Was just wondering if anyone could let me know what coming 1st in all those subjects means? I've heard that if you're coming 1st if someone else in your cohort gets a higher external mark that becomes yours, and if you get the highest external mark that becomes your external mark and replaces your assessment mark? Thanks.

Math is not definite but from what i know these are my internal ranks

Standard English: 1/59
Business Studies: 1/31
General Math: 7/53
IPT: 3/22
ITVET: 1/14

With a school rank of 273 (Fluctuates as 113 in 2012)

My ranks have dropped a lot since my half yearly report so i am happy with that, math doesn't really do me any favors though

i'm just curious but does the school you go to affect whether you get a state rank?? like say if one comes first in top 10 school vs someone else in a top 100 school would the person in the top 10 school get a state rank considering both got the exact same marks???

You can get a state rank at any school
