Well my holidays just started for me since finishing yearlies...

SO... wondering what's everyone doing in this break till year 12?

1. Are you going to start studying? And if so how are you prepping for each of urs subjects?

2. Or, are you guys just taking a break?

1. No life is too short to be studying
2. Of course, it's only the end of prelims, it's the only holiday I'll ever get where I truly don't have to worry about anything

Enjoy this holiday, you need to be refreshed by next term otherwise you'll burn out because the first assessments are where you can take advantage.

Should I be happy with ending all my yearly tests on roughly 70-80%?

Is taking a break recommended? Cause currently, I hope to improve in the subjects that I did crap in prelims lol, and maybe look over the syllabus for y12.

maths: finish my circle geo hw and go over parametrics
english: read my texts and possibly start finding related texts
business: nothing
economics: watch the news
financial services: might make some notes?

all in all, nothing much, trying to get as much rest as possibly whilst making sure I don't fall behind

I heard daily revision is good. Probs self learn part of the yr 12 MX1 and 2 syllabus, and maybe try and finish the first "Space" topic for physics. BUT everyone is suggesting breaks instead of studying.. so...

1. I'm probably going to study coughprocrastinatecough. Honestly though, is anyone going to learn ahead?

Depends on what your ATAR aim is and where you stand roughly in your school rankings. Obviously if you're near the bottom then no, if you're at the top then yeah ofc.

I know some schools did circle geo in Year 10, but most do it in Year 11. I think you might re-do it in Year 12, but it should be prelim content? idk. I think it's MX1, not too sure cos my school mixes 2u and X1 content together lol.

Circle geo is usually done in yr 11 and is an extension topic only. If you haven't done it this year, you will do it next year.

Take a break guys, seriously. It'll be full on for the rest of the year anyway.

From what people have told me, prelim math content is carried through to HSC - carried through as in tested.
