That 2013. 2 unit exam was awfully hard for 2u, or maybe I'm just dumb. Do you guys reckon it will be a little easier this year though? I mean it's called 2u for a reason, if they wanna chuck in ridiculous questions then they've got 3u and 4u but they shouldn t be doing this to the 2u exam coz it's just gonna make people hate maths more --> more people in general maths --> struggle in uni with maths stuff --> struggle in work. So yeah, what d'yall think?

Nah, 2013 was different in terms of structure (Q16 was not the hardest) and was not the hardest exam compared to 01-06. With all these trial papers from this year, most 2u papers have questions from HSC, CSSA or copied from each other's past years. This year, the structure might also change, where Q 15 might be the hardest part instead of Q 16. A lot of questions seem to be very similar to Cambridge (ENIGMA) challenge sections or questions from harder 2u from ext 1. But the last question most likely a wordy question combining topics compared to 2013.

I think it was just because the order from easy to hard was mixed up and stumped a lot of people. Maybe that's how bos wants to play the game.

Also agree with this. The last part of Question 5 was much much easier than earlier parts of Q6. this no doubt threw a lot of people of their game. The questions last year were also very tedious and messy.

But year BoS is changing the game so be prepared

Maths in focus is a pretty crappy book. WIth the 2013 exam, I'm sure many people were shocked with the questions and probably wondered why Margaret Grove didn't have such questions in her textbook. Maybe Margaret Grove has plans to take over the world by fooling people into thinking her textbook has proper maths questions. Always question things, and remember not everything is what you think it is/

She liessssss! Maths in Focus is the best!

I found the two unit exam last year manageable but I know it was found to be fairly difficult for 2 unit only students, so I think it may be a little easier this year.

I found last year's paper to be a lot harder than all the past papers I did. As for this year, who knows what they'll chuck at us.
But personally I like it a bit harder, makes it more fun? Or am I just a nerd lol
