Chance of getting uws, uncle or unsw(lol) interview?? (1 Viewer)

Hey Guys,

I got 73%ile umat and predicted atar= 99+. With S1:59, S2:50 and S3:56. What are my chances of getting an interview either in first or second round offer for the following unis: unsw, uws and uncle. I am hoping to get into uws (i am a gws resident) but even then do I have a chance with 73%ile umat??

to be blunt, you'd probably need 99.90+ for a chance at UNSW. i think UWS is out of the question with your UWS weighted score (s1+s2+0.5*s3) being 137.

last years s1 threshold mark was 61 for newcastle and could potentially decrease so let's hope for that.

yeah UWS isn't as easy to get into as people think. very frustrating how a student with 99.5 ATAR and 83%ile UMAT wouldn't get an interview while a 93.5 ATAR and 86%ile UMAT GWS student would.

UWS and UNSW are out of the quesiton. Last year's Newcastle cutoff for S1 was 59, so you might have a shot there. (I'm pretty sure the cutoff will rise this year tho so don't be too hopeful.)

I'd apply for non-umat uni's if i were you.

Not much hope imo. But you never know what predicted ATAR your school might give.
