Don't draw to a conclusion where you don't achieve high marks, just give these exams your all, you never know you may just surprise yourself :D

To be safe, rank 1 for everything.
Being realistic, top 5 for every subject should do it.

I had a really depressing year because I had some issues in school. I never studied for exams as a result because my mind set was completely wrong. I feel bad now knowing that I could have done much better and that's why I want to repeat. To achieve what I'm capable of and not regret like I do now

Dont do that man, you will feel much more worse. There are maaaannny pathways to get to where you wanna get into.

I too had a depressing year with psychological issues and depression. Then I started to say to myself that I should just try my best in my examination and whatever the result is I will just work with it.

I even made a plan, my atar aim is 85 for engo/bus in UTS but if I get lower than that
79-50 (UWS Engo)
60-50 (UTS Insearch)
<50 (TAFE or ACBC college)

In conclusion there is soo much pathways you can get into, and dont worry about the ATAR within 6 months it would nothing. I hear stories about ppl who got 99-90 and they say to me that they regret in putting too much effort that made them so worried or stressful. I know #firstworldproblem

Just deal with the HSC first then decide on something.

Have u applied of EAS ?

It is. People just put in less effort at uni and that's why they go from 99 atar to mystery wam.
It always surprises me when people work so hard for the HSC and they get the ATAR for the course they want to do. Yet when they do finally get there, they assume everything is smooth sailing from there and slow down.
I heard the mentality of simply expecting, or even wanting just a past is popular at unis.

Yep, they have their stupid "P's get degrees" motto going on. Unless you're doing Law or Medicine, you can always manage to stay on top of your degree and do well. It's not impossible, many people do it.
