Is the central coast big for other schoolies? I want to go up there with a group of mates, but we're hoping that it won't be deserted? If not, where is everyone else going!?

I don't think you know how the term is used. It means where to holiday after Hsc is over, not restricted to qld and the Gold Coast.
But I agree, never go gold coast for the actual schoolies event unless you want aids or possibly this time around, Ebola.
