I've seen it in a few trial papers; remember the entire 2U course is included in the 3U course so be prepared
Omg I hate that topic. I can't even answer 2 unit questions on it, let alone 3 unit :/

For the last question...

2012 HSC was a random 3D Trig + Rates of Change

2013 HSC was a Newton's Method problem

I wonder what commonly 'disregarded' topic they'll throw into this year's HSC.

I would love to see a good probability question combined with something else.

I haven't seen any polynomial for Question 7 and 15

Expecting binomials again this year lol
And truck loads of perms and combs throughout the test because they didn't do it for 4U
Or difficult induction Qs

One of my other students raised a pretty valid point that I didn't think of.

It was that MX1 students not doing MX2 are in some sense being 'punished' for the MX2 exam containing no probability, which is unfair to them.

I doubt a difficult induction Q, as it was done last year already.

Binomials is a real possibility, but I'm expecting a curveball from BOSTES.

Inb4 massive let down and they give the most bland paper ever.

Have they ever "punished" MX1 students before? I'm sure BOSTES wouldn't be that cruel and make the paper more favoured towards MX2 students

I also have a strong feeling trig is involved in the last question and circle geometry this year will be a pain

doubt circle geo will be in Q13 or 14. they already gave a good dose of it in 4U.
