Meh, semi-selective.

They don't offer as many scholarships as Sydney Grammar as far as I know, therefore they don't tend to do as well? Though this year's cohort is pretty varied.

wow rank 1 in Standard English came from a terrible school. There is hope!

That goes to show that it's an individual's ability to do well, not the school he/she goes to.
That's great motivation for me to work hard since I go to a low ranked school as well.

Actually he did come first internally for English advanced he had a course average of around 98 as well so he does have a good shot for a state rank in advanced English!
