stationery plays apart of studying too!
black pen: class notes and for scribbling down information then highlighted or added with colour
blue pen: study notes, exams; personally more eye-popping to me

exam: write in black or dark blue pen. Black is preferred
(every single exam for scanning purposes..)

just a bit curious =)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
here's a
comparison of how black vs blue looks like when scanned

and how other colours scan
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a table summing up what I've been hearing about these colours

other reasons: not pleasing appearance wise, bored of using the colour from the past, other people using it

what is this heresy do people actually enjoy writing in blue?

when you get that one, smooth af black pen that just glides. makes your maths equations look all sophisticated and shit

blue is more prettier, and more bright. Black is just dull and boring

I was a blue pen guy for the entirety of 2013 and half of 2014, then switched over to black pen late 2014.

Fun fact, my second essay on english paper 2 of my HSC exam was half blue and half black pen due to pens dying mid essay

Normally Black/Blue/Red only rainbow for lecture notes, questions, whatever, Black/Blue in exams depending on what is preferred for the exam --> usually black any way.
