Probably rush this assignment today and cram for bio tomorrow :( Hopefully I'll be able to watch the second innings somehow.
What about you?
im not gonna watch it and just study, i'll take few mins breaks and just catch a glimpse, and if it was a good match i'm just gonna find a replay somewhere

I think New Zealand will own australia

Their batters are ridiculously good
Are there like no aussie supporters here? I really want both trams to win, more so NZ because i don't think they will get another chance for wc final soon. They have been absolutely superb throughout the tournament, no dramas just good cricket.

Australia is always underestimated though - our teams equally gun.
hoping for a close game!

Hahah fuck apparently there's like loads of Indians at the stadium. An air India plane landed there as well gg no re.
Man these ppl let us down real bad.

NZ better win this. They seriously deserve it more than any team in this series imo.

I think Australia deserve it more purely on virtue of that close game in the group stage, NZ had momentum going in with multiple (3?) wins while Australia had only played a single game much earlier and had to settle for a draw for what should have been an easy win.

That made Australia's qualification harder than it would have been and could have cost us qualification in the event of another washed out game. NZ might not have even qualified for this final if Aus had come in to that game on equal terms and won it.

Just because Aus knocked out India, typical salty Indian fan. But imo, if the group stages ended with Aus on top and NZ in second this would be an Aus vs Ind final.

I'm not the best Australian supporter (I actually go for South Africa), however probably leaning towards wanting them to win above NZ.

Tbf considering NZ has had every game at home (I know they're co-hosting, but still it's an advantage) it's a bit far-fetched to say they ~deserve~ to win the WC more than any other team. I've never really liked the sentiment that a team ~deserves~ to win more than the other anyway. I've always looked at it like this: if a team ends up winning fairly (regardless who), they deserved that win.

i mean not to go all racist bogan or anything but i would assume if you were raised in a country you would probably support it in sport over another country you don't have any personal affiliation with?

Also the Australian team gets all this criticism of being arrogant etc. leveled at it but I honestly (objectively speaking) never really see it and as far as I know they demonstrate a lot of sportsmanship.

I see it.

From the way that Warner, Johnson and starc behave.

i mean as far as I can see there have been a fair few instances where players have been fined for "unsporting" behaviour for absolutely ridiculous reasons (i.e. Watson and Riaz), the ICC definitely needs to get it's shit together

I don't think it's uncommon for pace bowlers to have a demeanour like Johnson and Starc do, i.e. bravado. Warner hasn't been perfect, I can admit, but I think the times he's gone wrong has been a result of having a lack of tact/control rather than being arrogant. He's an impulsive individual with an abundance of energy, it's clear from the intensity in when he bats, but I would never say I've seen him act overly arrogant when batting. I'm trying to be as objective as possible here, since I don't really adore some of the Australian players.

also as one of the few people who has met warner for an extended period of time (he is best mates with one of our closest family friends) I can say all the accusations of him being racist are utter bullshit considering that practically half his friendship circle is of South Asian origin
