How harsh do they mark physics in the Hsc? My teachers subtracting marks because i missed a key word... and my scale was .2 of a mm away from the value i intended it to be. Would they be more lenient?

I don't do science anymore, but I remember several ex-students telling me that HSC science marking as a whole is generally the most stringent in which they can deduct marks for small things (e.g. incorrect terminology, one wrong step in calculations, missing states in eqns). If your school already marks harsh, then that's a good thing because you can perfect your exam technique.

HSC is similar unless they have changed how they mark since 2013.

Quick question:
How do they rank students if they do different options ? Is each equally difficult ?
