Urgent equilibrium constant help. (1 Viewer)

I have an exam on tuesday so need to know the equillibrium constant.

I know if K<0.001 then it lies to the left and almost no reaction occurs.
and if K>1000 then it lies to the right and almost goes to completion.

But what if K is between these values?

And i Also saw a question:

K = 19.9 at 25 degrees Celsius. What does K tell you about this equillibrium: HNO3 + H2O <----> H3O+ + NO3-

Those aren't strict values. Just generally, if K is "large", it lies well to the right, and if K is "very small", it lies well to the left. If K is roughly 1, then the equilibrium lies roughly in the middle.

With K = 19.9, it tells you that at this temperature, the equilibrium lies slightly to the right.

Equilibrium quotient (otherwise known as Q) just indicates where the equilibrium is currently at, and where it is going to move towards. So when Q < K, the equilibrium is still on the reactants, and will produce more products in order to reach equilibrium. When Q=K, the equilibrium has been reached..
