how hard are the unsw civil fluid mechanics
Haven't taken a "formal" fluid mechanics course yet but they introduce you to it in first year physics. It is a VERY broad subject that that can range anywhere including unsolved mathematical models etc.
Basically, engineering level fluid mechanics generally involve multivariable/vector calculus and in some schools, partial differential equations.

I did fluid mechanics at USYD, and it was really simple. I dont think it'll be too different at UNSW.
