Oh god its all coming back to me now. I remember I wanted to get my shoyru a girlfriend. So I went on the forums to look for one. There was a subforum dedicated to 'fanclubs' but since it had an icon consisting of two neopets with a love heart between them nobody actually used it for fanclubs, they all used it to get their neopets a sidebitch instead. So anyway im browsing these forums and I manage to find a blue female shoyru for my red shoyru to mate with. It was owned by some 8 year old girl and we started messaging each other talking about 'sleeping in the bed togther' and shit like that. This was in the 90's before everyone became paranoid about pedophiles otherwise I'm sure id be on some FBI watchlist right now.
Also when you got a neopet girlfriend you had to make a neopage for your girlfriend. So I make this crappy .bmp file in paint by copying the picture of the blue shoyru and typing 'i loev her' underneath it. I wanted to put the pic on the neopage, but I didn't know you had to host the image file online so I put something like <img>c://my computer/desktop/i loev her.bmp</img> on the html. It fucked up but I was too scared to ask my big brother for help, so I never contacted that 8 year old girl again out of shame.
