Hi guys! Just realised on my student portal that I have 9 study periods in a 10 day cycle which is to me alot? I am not sure if thats because maths ext. is offline.

How many do u guys have, and if so can anyone relate

How many units are you doing? I had no study periods in year 11, and only 2 this year, but I'm doing 15 units.

If you're doing the minimum 10 + a before/after school subject, then yeah that sounds normal to me.

Yeah, it sounds about right. 9 periods a fortnight is the usual amount of periods per 2 units a fortnight, and most schools design their timetables to fit around 12 or 13 units not including before/after school periods.

No free periods tho in my school we have a day off on Friday but as I'm doing 3u maths I have to come period 3 week a and period 0-1 week b. Tho technically no free periods

Nope no more sport, tho an extra period in the afternoon for everyone now.

For me, in Year 11 there were no study periods unless you dropped a subject.
Then in Year 12 sport was no longer required so we could go home (or stay and study) at 12
Extension subjects were taught offline

In year 11 I had to tolerate sport (like why seriously) but thankfully once Year 12 started in Term 4 there isn't sport which frees up so much time. I was doing 13 units with ext maths in the morning and got no study periods at all (which really really sucked). So be glad for your frees in year 11! (And try not to waste too many )

that was me in year 11 but with ext english lol

sport was cool at my school because it's sport and rec and we can pick external things for $10 p/w like bowling, ice skating, laser tag, etc. so it was just chilling with friends

i'm doing maths ext too yeeeey! um ok in regards to free periods, i had none of them during prelims. During HSC, i am currently doing 11 units and have 3 study periods in 2 weeks with no period 0 or after school periods

I'm doing 15 units.

I had 7 periods free per fortnight and did 12 units whilst I was doing the HSC.

I had no free periods in year 11, now I have at least one free period everyday, with 3 days with double free periods

I had no studies in prelim with 12 units, now with 11 units 1/3 of my classes are studies thanks to offline maths.
