I'm gonna post a very easy question (srsly)

I need to do an experiment.

I have 3 beakers, each contain 200ml of water.

I need to add:

- 2% salt to the first lot

- 10% salt to the second lot

- 20% salt to the third lot

How do I work out how many grams to add?

I think I just need to add: 2g, 10g, and 20g (I'm not sure this is correct), but I need the formula used to find out 'how' because I need to write instructions x(

I assume by 'percent' it means percentage of 200 g, since the 200 mL of water will be essentially 200 g.

So you'll need to add: 4 g, 20 g, 40 g, respectively.

The formula for x% of y is that x% of y equals xy/100.
