lmao if they really want the money then why don't they become a maths teacher then once you become one you can become a maths tutor (or any teacher such as phys, chem, english) so then you can make more money rather than do something you don't like. THing is not everyone likes teaching and not everyone likes to be a doctor
wow this is some brilliant insight

You're supposed to do what you like.

The maximum attainable profit for an industry might not necessarily be your maximum attainable out of the industry because of lack of motivation.

Those guys that get 100% money driven will fall into a trap.

Keywords: prestige, money
Being a tutor/teacher doesn't give you the prestige nor the money (well money for tutoring depends )
In fact teachers don't have a high salary and atar for education is low lol anyone who didn't get in the course they wanted can use education as a fall back (no offence to anyone doing education, you do you). And you're assuming everyone who does med for $$$ and rep like teaching. And i don't get what your last sentence is proving

Tldr: people want money AND prestige. Being a teacher/tutor doesn't satisfy their criteria

Sien: anyone who does med doesn't do it just for the money. They wouldn't be able to survive the degree if they're not motivated. Same with teachers: very few teachers go into it for the money.

Because there are people who genuinely have a passion to be a doctor
And then there are people willing to go that far for money and prestige

a lot of the times I think this, and then like 3 hours later ill be doing something else and it'll click how I was wrong about them being wrong, so they were right that I was wrong (yeh i made that confusing on purpose lele)

Felt like I should make a comment about the med discussion earlier.

How competitive it is to get into med and there are people who do it for money and prestige. I just don't understand that? You can earn so much money if you get into business and surely prestige too. Meanwhile I do not have that ability to get the enough ATAR requirement for undergrad degree but it has always been my impetus passion to become a doctor which probably triggered because of the lack of medical care where I was brought up. My dream, no matter how difficult the path maybe is to succeed and to get into med.

At least you can branch out into what type of medical studies you want to do
