That's good, but honestly I don't believe so, it tends to have an indirect relationship with the traumas in your life.

Yes, everyone is traumatized.
I will admit i have traumas but they are from childhood accidents, completely unrelated to my parents or me getting disciplined

Yeah, what I meant was not parents but childhood traumas.

Sorry for the wording ^_^

But of course, everyone has traumas.

I still don't understand what you're trying to say tho .. Aren't you contradicting yourself by saying 'everyone' has traumas?

Lol I got hit by my parents when I was a kid, I don't even REMEMBER any of it, but by seeing the way kids are growing up nowadays and the way they treat their parents and other people, I'm glad I did tbh.
I'm definitely not traumatised by it, and I'm most definitely not a violent person too, nor do I ever intend on being one.

What I'm trying to say is that everyone has childhood traumas, and it usually does correlate with the environment. But not in all the cases.

Same.
Got hit by my dad because I didn't understand long division in year 2 :p and some other times but I can't really remember. The parenting method is questionable but I'm fine with the way I turned out, I'm not like those annoying brats nowadays with their fancy iPhones, iPads, iPods... I still don't have a phone lol. Asian parents amirite?

Seeing as this thread is now about discipline
I grew up with physical discipline being par for course, and if I'm honest there is definitely value in it.
That being said, I think it is unnecessary and a good parent can send the same message without needing to resort to that.
but its a much better substitute than doing nothing, parenting definitely requires discipline - but it does not necessarily have to be physical.
but I do not endorse dumbass white people things like timeouts or being sent to your room

edit: whoops i meant uneccessary

The problem with today is because of the whole political and social agenda, kids are treated like fragile vases that will shatter when (metaphorically) dropped.

Humans are meant to be resilient. Don't revert back to traditional methods, but don't avoid any form of punishment entirely. Otherwise we'll have a generation of "special snowflakes" with a bunch of unnecessary psychological problems.

White parenting methods like that are so pointless and stupid. I get sent to my room yay I can sleep now.

I wanna see how that would turn out.

Well, we already have the average global temperature rising by 1 degree in the next 20 years, so why not? may as well since the whole of civilisation is screwed.
Yeah lets go on our murderous rampage and re-enact the purge.

I've see kids call their parents bitches, fgts etc
Wtf.... yea i admit i can be a sarcastic cunt to my parents sometimes when i talk back (out of anger) , i never insulted my own parents especially calling them names like that. Those fkheads need their ass beat till it's parallel to the ground. Thing is it's usually non azn kids talking like that.
Legit 'time outs' 'grounding' is the most ineffective forms of discipline. What is it teaching exactly? Even when i was beat as a child, i sometimes still had that last shred of 'i was right, they were wrong' notion in me. Just imagine if my parents used white ppl discipline methods on me, i would be the most self-righteous dumbass till this day. If violence is wrong way to discipline kids, what is the right way to go? There is no other discipline that is effective like getting your ass beat.
