I had 8am physics lectures in my first year...attended all of them. Never again, I was in zombie mode the entire day.

Never knew 8am lectures existed until now. That sounds like the worst thing in existence (and I thought 6pm was only that bit less bad than 9am)

Anyone able to give insights into why FINS3625 is so popular? What's so good about it? Thoughts on the course.

I hear that ACF pretty much delves into a lot of the stuff that is applicable to investment banking (i.e. mergers and acquisitions), might be wrong though.

ACF is all about investment banking, i.e. corporate finance. It's fairly interesting and not too difficult. I'd do it in sem 2 tho, as the assessments are easier (average for our mid-sem was 54%).

Anyone: How much does Math1231 need Math1131. I'm pretty fucked for Math1131, and i'll probably just pass. But i want to know is it possible to pass Math1231 without knowing much Math1131?

Why do some people take usually S1 classes in S2?? E.g. chem 1a, or computing 1?

I know I'm taking it because I had to do an intro class before going into chem, but wondering why others would.

doesn't matter when you do it
some people fail and need to retake, some take as an elective etc
