My HSC year ranks were actually worse than my prelim ranks for the most part...

but I beat them all in the final exam anyway

I did HSC Business Studies. The scaling is worst than Legal Studies.
I fucked up an assessment due to personal reasons (my 97% streak ended with that 75%).
I was 1st and dropped to 9th (out of 70ish) and I still got the same HSC MARK as 3rd.

So one mark or one percent won't kill you. Just don't lose your footing and stay close to 1st place or take over.
