So I got an offer from Usyd to study Comp Science. I originally wanted to do Comp Science or Soft. Engo with Commerce since I love business and finance. I didn't get a high enough ATAR that's why I couldn't get into a double degree in USyd. I have received an offer from Macquarie but am not sure whether to take it. How's software engineering at Macquarie. If I don't like software can I change easily? Is it better to do Comp. Science at Usud and then transfer into Commerce double degree of do Soft. Engo and Comm at Macq?

I thought they're similar like an employer treats them the same?

They're structured differently. There's a mandatory thesis with soft eng whereas for comp sci you have to take an honours year to do the same.

Employers will look at what you have learnt and other stuff you have done more likely.
