If UOS is university of Sydney like im assuming you need a 99.95 atar to get in (UMAT is not counted)

Which university are you referring to by "UOS"? (As others have said here, University of Sydney is 99.95 ATAR, so did you mean something else?)

Most annoying when someone uses UOS and expects everyone to know what it refers to! If it refers to the University of Sydney, using USyd or U of Syd would be more acceptable.

This is a medical science degree
That is a medicine degree where you actually become a doctor

Most people who don't get into medicine do medical science to then get into medicine.

So why can't one become a doctor with a medical science degree?

Technical answer is to practise as a doctor you must be registered with the Medical Board.
Registration requires a degree accredited by AMC, the MedSc degree is not.
