I'm applying for B science/ M nursing and was wondering what the "master" is? am i able to apply for this course if i finish hsc? or is this postgrad students? on usyd site they have it under the undergrad courses but i dont see any master degree for any other subjects besides this one???

Master is additional study after your undergraduate degree.

You shouldn't really worry about it until after university.


EDIT: Did not read post. Yes, you can apply for it. It's like a Doctor of Medicine, you can apply in your UG.

I'm assuming that you are talking about the course available at USYD?

If so, then you can apply to study the course right after HSC.

You do part of the masters subject as an undergraduate. It is similar to a "double degree".

It's an undergraduate Bachelor's degree (BSc), then a postgraduate Master's degree (MN). The Master's degree is traditionally a more focused degree, i.e. a specialisation after a Bachelor's.

This combination is an integrated Master's degree in an undergraduate entry degree. You do the Bachelor's degree as normal and it transitions into the Master's degree.
