Looking down the list, I saw that The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy and The Hound of the Baskervilles are texts I'd be interested in reading, but I'm not sure if they can be related to Dobson's poems. (I might just read them for leisure anyways.)

Yeah Leunig cartoon's seem to work well for a lot of Area of Study choices

I've considered Colourless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage, The Goldfinch, and Requiem for a Dream.

Well I would think certain anime would be suitable for using as related text, but I need more information about your prescribed + the series you are considering to do. You would be "allowed to" for HSC exams but your English department might be a bit negative towards you doing anime series. So double check with your english teachers.

What is your prescribed text? I mean it may work but I think that there are easier related texts out there.
