Post predictions/themes that you have seen across trial papers for Business Studies this year.

Short answers? Essay/Extended response question?

What have people been asked for their trial questions this year?

Also feel free to discuss possible answers for pastpaper questions on this thread! :)

N/A
Have a feeling that after last years dismal business report (Average was insanely low as people didnt like finance) NESA are going to re-test it with operations.

I would then predict a Marketing/HR question for the essay, in particular a Globilisation essay as it has never been done before.

Oh yeah I didn't like HR...

I avoided the HR question back 2014, despite handing in a practice report on that question that got good marks because I didn't trust myself to redo it as I couldn't really remember HR as well as the other topics.

Interdependence question?
just do the basic bs like:
hr and finance= labour costs and retraining, hr and operations- cost of labour, skills and retraining, hr and marketing- promotion of goods and services, skills and training to promote products
finance and operations- cost of production, budgeting, price quality interaction, finance and marketing- promotion of goods, marketing costs
marketing
marketing and operations- promoting the goods/serv, market research etc.

Legal compliance- legal obliged to follow or do i.e. anti-discrimination acts, WHS
Ethical respon- chosen to be followed by the business to promot the triple bottom line i.e. free days of work at NAB for social volunteering, sponsoring kids in africa or smthn
Differneces are legal is obligatery while ethical isn't. ethical is usually followed to improve image and perception by society

I'd also recommend that you include that ethical responsibility includes making decisions that are not only legally correct, but morally correct as well.
Legal compliance, -> requirement to follow both domestic and international laws applicable to business. Give examples OHS etc.

In the production of goods, Streamlining of the process through high levels of efficiency and speed are essential in reducing overall cost, whilst reducing lead times and faults within the product.

In the delivery of services differs as high levels of customization and increased customer service is more valued

You may also want to discuss the different qualities of a good vs service, i.e tangible (good) and service (intangible)
* Goods are harder to customise then services
* Easier to measure productivity.
