Does anyone know what WAM someone has to get to obtain a Dean Award in Engineering (1st Year)?

Hey CNSie, in Engineering Faculty, Dean's List is 80, this is the same in all years for degrees starting after 2016(?);

Dean's Award could be fairly complicated, but a prereq is overall WAM 85+ (the WAM shown on myUNSW, including all subjects you've done in UNSW and not weighted). Then they'll consider the marks in each stage/year, and choose the top 1%. I've asked a few recipients, and common sense is ~87 or 88 would be safe, although you'll see a lot of them with 90+ WAM. This also depends on your cohorts, and which school you're in.

The cutoff in first year could be higher since the courses are generally easier, but a friend in his 1st year of elec eng snagged it with a WAM of 88 last year.

Thank you for the detailed response mate.

Which of these subjects are confirmed for being entered into the WAM glitch?
COMP1521
COMP1531
COMP2521
MATH1231

I've seen a post saying all MATHs are in and a post saying 1531 and 2521 are in, but I would like confirmation just to be sure. I want to know if I need to start cramming for a 1531 supp exam.
COMP1531 marks are out

Hello All,

We should be receiving our marks later this afternoon/night. As per usual, it's generally released based on student numbers, with the earlier numbers coming in first

For people's convenience adhere to the following format:

  • Student number (first 3 digits):
  • Time email received:
Optional

  • Semester WAM:
  • Total WAM:
